Wedding Ceremonies

We have additional sound systems available for your wedding ceremony. Pictured
below is our early arrival at Fort Hunter in Harrisburg, PA. We always arrive with time
to spare to ensure preparedness for your wedding and this was no exception.

We have the music for any desired mood or setting formal Classical
to Celtic.

We provided Ceremony music for this elegant wedding at the
Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.

Some reasons why a separate sound system may be needed for your
wedding ceremony:

  • Guitar/Soloist
  • Outdoor ceremony
  • No organ or piano
  • Flexibility of "original artist" selections

Are you wondering about the difference between wedding recessional and wedding processional music? Below is a short description and an example of some popular contemporary and traditional song selections.

Prelude
This is the music being played before your wedding ceremony while the guests are arriving and being seated. Usually calm and elegant, some titles include:

Traditional

Here And Now - Luther Vandross
My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion
Songbird - Kenny G.
Truly - Lionel Richie

Processional
The processional music is played during the wedding ceremony as the wedding party walks down the isle, it is joyful and proud.

Contemporary

Here is where everyone stands to watch the Bride walk down the isle on her wedding day! This music is jubilant and uplifting.

Music can enhance a candle lighting, quiet meditation or prayer, or other non-speaking time during the wedding ceremony. Musical selections here would be soft and reflective.

A Time For Us from Romeo And Juliet
Contemporary
From This Moment - Shania Twain
It's Your Love - Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
Recessional
The recessional music is playing while the bride and groom, wedding party and wedding officiate walk back down the isle. It is upbeat and fitting for a celebration. You made it!
Traditional
Handel's Water Music
Mendelssohn's Wedding March
Mouret Rondeau
Purcell Trumpet Tune
Contemporary
At Last - Etta James
Celebration - Kool & The Gang
I Feel Good (I Got You) - James Brown
I Got You Babe - Sonny & Cher (could happen)
We've Only Just Begun - Carpenters
Postlude
This is played after the recessional as guests are leaving. A postlude is not always needed, however if the guests are leaving slowly or waiting in line to greet you and your wedding party, it's nice to fill the time with music.
Selections for the Postlude may vary depending on the atmosphere desired, but will remain upbeat as guests leave the building to greet you and your wedding party -and help build momentum for the reception.

Bride on her wedding day.

Who walks up the aisle?

Varying with religious traditions, the order of who walks up the aisle will generally follow these rules:

The officiate, groom, and best man enter through a side door and wait at the altar.

The groomsmen escort the bridesmaids starting with the two who will stand farthest from the bride and groom.

Best man and maid of honor.

The ring bearer and/or flower girl.

The bride and her father, or other close family member. The bride walks on the left side.

Of course there are many variations. You are certainly free to make your own plans!
